Insights on Transitioning to a Sustainable World

Welcome to the Sustainably Wise Blog. Most of the articles included below were written by Rob Wheeler for distribution at UN events that he attended focusing on sustainable development. They include many suggestions and recommendations for how we can transition most rapidly towards a sustainable world and future. New articles will be added from time to time. I drafted the article on Restoring the Whole Earth for a conference on implementing the UN Decade for Ecosystem Restoration which I called for at the UN in 2001 on behalf of the Campaign to Restore the Earth and which was finally launched by the UN in 2019.

The first two files in the listing are actually reports produced by the Commons Cluster of the UN NGO Major Group that focus on adopting a Nature Based Approach for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Rob co-authored the reports and wrote the Executive Summaries that are listed below. The files at the end or bottom are from an eForum on Creating a World Parliament for the 21st Century and a new system of global governance  that Rob co-coordinated that was organized through the Alliance for a Responsible, Plural and United World over a period of three years.

The article and papers listed below will be moved into the text boxes included at the end below, as soon as we can get to it, along with appropriate photos or cover pages that go with each of them. Then live links will be added for each of them. In the meantime many of them can be found through doing a web search.
